Privacy policy

Nisso Shoji Co., Ltd. (the Company) understands protection of personal information as an important social responsibility and handles personal information in an appropriate manner.


Article 1 Basic Policies

 1.The Company uses the personal data of customers only for the intended purposes including transmission of information useful for business operations.

 2.The Company does not disclose or provide personal data obtained from you to any third party without your agreement or other valid legal reason,
   including disclosure based on laws and regulations and provision of information to our affiliates, outsourcing contractors and business partners
   conforming to laws and regulations.

 3.The Company obtains personal information within the scope of necessity and in legal and proper means.

 4.The Company strives to ensure that personal data is protected and takes reasonable measures to prevent personal data from being altered,
   leaked, or lost, etc.

 5.The Company strictly observes the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations regarding the handling
    of personal information.

 6.The Company will separately establish "Specific Personal Information Handling Regulations" for the proper handling of specific personal information.


Article 2 Handling of Personal Information

 1.Utilization Purposes of Personal Information

 The Company will disclose the utilization purpose to the public (including by the disclosure of the Company’s privacy policy to the public) or inform the
 utilization purpose when acquiring personal information, and the Company will state the utilization purpose explicitly in advance when the Company directly
 acquires personal information stated in a written contract or other document (including an electromagnetic record). The Company will use personal
 information within the scope of the utilization purpose and to the extent necessary to perform the business of the Company.

  Personal information acquired by the Company will be used only for the utilization purposes given below.

  ① The provision of information on products and services offered by the Company, and on events sponsored by the Company.

  ② Purposes related to the conduct of surveys or studies necessary for managing products or services offered by the Company, or to the development of
   future products and services.

  ③ Timely responses to inquiries and requests.

  ④ Enforcing rights and performing obligations and other actions under Companies Act and other applicable laws and regulations of Japan.

  ⑤ Recruitment process.

  ⑥ Complying with legal or regulatory requirements, or regulatory guidance.

  ⑦ Purposes specified when the personal information was obtained.


 2.Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

  With the statutory exception, including cases based on laws and regulations or jointly use as set forth in paragraph 4, the Company will not provide
 personal information to third parties without the permission of those whose information would be provided.


 3.Jointly Use

 The Company will jointly use personal information with its group companies in Japan as follows.

  〔Items of personal information for jointly use〕

   ・Customer’s or shareholder’s name, date of birth, contact details (including address, phone number, and e-mail address)

   ・Job applicant’s name, date of birth, contact details (including address, phone number, and e-mail address)

   ・Inquires, questions, and opinions and other similar information

  〔Scope of jointly use〕

   Company’s domestic subsidiaries, Nippon Soda Co., Ltd., and Nippon Soda group companies in Japan.

  〔Purpose of use〕

   Purpose set forth in paragraph 1 of Article 2.

  〔Representative responsible for the management of personal information for jointly use〕

   Set forth in Article 5.


 4.Management of Personal Information

  The Company, in order to appropriately manage personal information and protect it from alteration, leaks, loss, etc., will take reasonable action to control
 access to personal information, limit the means by which personal information may be taken off premises, prevent unauthorized access by external parties,
 and provide legal and regulatory compliance education for employees.


Article 3 Personal Information Disclosure Requests and Procedures

 Requests to disclose, correct, supplement, dispose of, or cease the use of personal information held by the Company should be submitted to:

Article 4 Revisions

 The Company may revise its privacy policies from time to time. Revisions shall be reflected and posted on the Company's website.
